A trendy new restaurant in Kentish Town will be using our Menu Covers when it opens up soon, so make sure that you book a table in advance because Patron Cave a Manger is going to be popular.
Patron Cave a Manger is a traditional style French bar serving classic French cuisine, including small dishes, cheese, charcuterie and sweets. Some of the delicious treats on the menu that you can look forward to include porc rillettes and saucisson, wild mushrooms on toast, Camembert fondue, garlic butter escargot and hand cut steak tartare.
This gourmet restaurant will offer a changing menu depending on the seasons, as the ingredients will be sourced by a number of local suppliers as well as the best suppliers from France. On the weekends the restaurant will offer a separate breakfast menu. When it comes to drinks, the Patron Cave a Manger will offer a great selection of French wines as well as a small selection of fine wines. There will be plenty of cocktails and local craft beer on tap, as well as spirits and soft drinks.
The elegant space of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a large curved wooden Parisian style bar with leather banquette seating, stools and bistro style chairs as well as an open plan kitchen where you can watch your meal being prepared. There will also be a small terrace where you can enjoy your meal on a sunny day.
This restaurant has already been written about by Hot Dinners and has been given a double page spread in the Financial Times weekend food magazine. It has generated quite a buzz and there is no doubt that it will be one of the hottest new venues in Kentish Town. Patron was created by the couple who were behind Café Gourmand, a popular SoHo staple. The French-English owners, Jean-Francois and Tanzi meet at chef college 9 years ago. They moved to Kentish Town in 2013 and they thought it would be a perfect ideal to open up a French restaurant. They were surprised that one didn’t exist already with all of the French schools and French people living in the area.
What is a “Cave a Manger?”
So what exactly is a Cave a Manger and how is it different than any other type of restaurant? A cave a manger is a hot trend in French dining at the moment and it describes a wine bar that also serves food. These types of restaurants are usually casual, intimate and affordable and they often have a charming and romantic atmosphere. Most are tiny, with only a few tables – and they are usually owned by passionate individuals rather than restaurant chains. The food can be anything from simple cheese and charcuterie to gourmet meals. This lovely style of restaurant is perfect for a romantic meal with your sweetheart or a night out with a few friends.
The Menu Boards
When it comes to choosing stylish menu boards for the restaurant, Patron Cave a Manger went with the high quality products that Smart Hospitality has to offer. We are proud to offer our custom designed menu boards to this chic modern restaurant, adding a beautiful finishing touch to their design.
“Smart Marketing deliver on quality, craftsmanship and punctuality,” said Chris Ribet, the freelance designer who commissioned us to create a bespoke menu for Patron Cave a Manger. “Sian guided me through process and was helpful throughout. The results were second to none and the client was thoroughly impressed.”
The menu covers that were chosen for this hip and trendy restaurant were the A5 Buckram Menu Board, which is designed to fit A5 sized paper. These menu covers were chosen in the “Midnight” shade and the logo was embossed on them in brass foil. These stylish menu covers are elegant and subtle in their design, so that they will add a sophisticated finishing touch without being over-powering.
The Buckram material is a very popular choice for our menu covers, as it is made with 100% cotton and has a waterproof acrylic coating. The material feels luxurious to the touch yet is still very long lasting and durable.
