The cocktail master mixed his lavish concoction at the famous London’s Playboy Club, and the ingredients list on the menu read as so:
Salvatore’s Legacy at Playboy…
- 40ml 1778 Clos de Griffier Vieux Cognac;
- 20ml 1770 Kummel Liqueur;
- 20ml 1860 Dubb Orange Curaçao;
- 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, circa 1900.
A Smashing Buy…
However, it wasn’t all plain sailing for the cognac connoisseur, who stores a monster drinks’ collection at the Playboy club estimated at over £1m! Apparently, he attempted to break the world record for the world’s most expensive cocktail on another occasion, but the task ended up costing his customer £11,000 for 2 glasses of the lavish concoction, and Salvatore one of his most prized cognac possessions when the whole bottle was smashed on the floor!
Move Over for Movida!
…and this was the last expensive cocktail we had heard of at SMG until early this year when many reports came flooding in about a cocktail called Flawless, a 2013 Christmas extravagance sold at London’s exclusive celeb hang-out club, Movida.
At £35,000 a glass, Flawless promises to deliver for the uber-rich, whilst the majority of us mere mortals panic over the credit crunch… not that we’re bitter of course.
Ingredients in the costly cocktail include:
Flawless at Movida…
- a large measure of Louis XII cognac;
- half a bottle of Cristal Rose champagne;
- a pinch of brown sugar;
- 2a few flakes of 24-carat edible gold leaf;
- & mystery item
You might be wondering what is so special about Flawless and we guess that boils down to the 11-carat white diamond ring, which can be found at the bottom of the glass …the dazzling mystery item!
